Museum Resources is a Licensed Class A Contractor capable of just about any form of historical building restoration or renovation. Owned and operated by Kerry Shackelford, the business has gained a reputation for authentic, accurate reproduction through a wide range of unique experiences. For over 30 years Kerry has worked "hands on" in traditional Historic Woodworking, and Forest product manufacture. This experience was developed initially through a Degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Tennessee and then through a traditional apprenticeship of 6 years in Coopering at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Kerry is one of only two tradesmen to complete this long and challenging program.
In the last 15 years, the company has performed restorations, re-creations, even additions and remodelings on a wide variety of Private Homes, Commercial, Museum and Restoration work. We can undertake any aspect of Restoration work from project management, materials preparation, acquisition or complete construction. Additionally, we can work as consultants to assist you in your construction or restoration, work with local contractors or carpenters to guide them in producing the right finish or look for your project.
Last, but certainly not least in our hearts, we have extensive experience and a special interest and appreciation in the traditional Historic Trades. We can assist you in acquiring the skills, tools, and environment needed to project a trades presentation.
